Legal Aid Trust has been more than just an internship space; it has been a learning institution, a training ground, and a second home for my professional development. The mentors did not just teach me law, they moulded my thinking, shaped my legal ethics and gave me the tools to pursue this career with confidence and purpose. With a team of highly knowledgeable and compassionate mentors, it fosters both skill development and ethical grounding. Dr. Praneshwaran Sir’s precision in drafting, Girish Sir’s analytical mentorship, and Dr. Vidya Ma’am’s courtroom guidance are truly unparalleled. Each advocate at the Trust generously invests in interns’ growth, offering constant support, feedback, and encouragement. Practical training here bridges the gap between theory and practice with real casework and client interaction. The collaborative spirit of the Trust cultivates discipline, confidence, and a deep understanding of law in action. For me Interning in Legal Aid Trust is more than an internship it is a transformative journey for aspiring legal professional.
B. Com., pursuing LL.B
During my LLB journey, which I pursued after completing my B.Com, I had the privilege of being associated with the Legal Aid Trust as a running intern from my second year onwards. Proficient in English, Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil, I was entrusted with responsibilities that went far beyond those of a typical intern — from drafting legal documents to conducting in-depth legal research, I was given the opportunity to function almost as a junior advocate. Unlike my previous internships, Legal Aid Trust offered unparalleled exposure to the practical side of law. As I now graduate with an LLB degree, I do so not only with academic knowledge, but also with substantial, hands-on experience that has profoundly shaped my legal acumen and professional confidence.
B. Com., pursuing LL. B
My internship experience at Legal Aid was truly enriching and unforgettable. As a law student, I was eager to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, and Legal Aid provided me with the perfect platform. With access to ample resources, I was able to delve deeper into various aspects of law and gain a better understanding of the legal system. Working alongside experienced practitioners was a huge bonus, as I learned valuable skills and insights from them. Moreover, the flexible work schedule allowed me to manage my time effectively, balancing internship responsibilities with academic commitments. Overall, I highly recommend Legal Aid as an internship destination for law students – it's an exceptional opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact.
Pursuing B. B. A., LL.B
This internship at LEGAL AID TRUST has been an incredibly enriching and foundational experience for my legal career. It has not only reinforced my passion for law but has also equipped me with practical skills, a deeper understanding of the legal landscape, and a clearer vision for my future within the profession. I am profoundly grateful to the firm for this invaluable opportunity and the mentorship that I am receiving.
3-year B.A.B.L. at College Name here
Interning at Legal Aid Trust has been an amazing journey. Juggling college and the internship wasn’t always easy, but honestly, it was so worth it. I’ve learned things I didn’t expect to pick up this early like how to read and brief a case file, draft memos, and actually understand how legal work flows in practice. What made it even better was the team. Everyone was super friendly and approachable we really worked like a team, and that made all the difference. Advocate (Dr.) Vidya Selvamony, who leads the firm, is truly an inspiring figure and a remarkable mentor I’ve grown not just in terms of legal skills, but also in understanding how to navigate a workspace and collaborate with people. This internship gave me a head start and boosted my confidence. I’m going back to college with way more perspective and honestly, knowing how things actually work feels like having a secret weapon!
