We are dedicated to empowering individuals through legal literacy, supporting research, and advocating for the development of efficient, impartial, and affordable legal systems.

Appointed as an External Member and Trainer for the Child Protection Committees at ibis and Novotel (Accor Group). This role was guided by Accor’s global child protection policies, which align with international ethical standards and legal frameworks for child safety. The initiative is rooted in The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism – thecode.org developed by ECPAT International and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Launched a dedicated Legal Advisory Division offering online legal consultations to individuals and organizations. This model emerged in response to challenges posed by the COVID-19 lockdown, when in-person legal access was limited. Provided timely support on a range of critical issues, including: - Employment-related disputes due to job losses and downsizing. - Contractual and project-related challenges arising from stalled operations. - Money recovery and delayed payments. - Labour law compliance and restructuring guidance for organizations scaling down operations. - Enabled continued legal support through virtual platforms, ensuring access to justice and legal remedies during the pandemic. - Managing operations of Nag Associates on account of untimely death of its proprietor Adv. Rakshit KN on account of COVID-19.

UDIN Registration Secured for Trust Compliance

UDIN Registration Secured for Trust Compliance

Obtained UDIN Registration in the name of the Trust, enhancing transparency and compliance in Trust’s activities. Relocated operations to the Rajaji Nagar office of Nag Associates to streamline administration and improve operational efficiency of Litigation files being managed by Legal Aid Trust on behalf of Nag Associates (for further details refer annual report of Legal Aid Trust for 2020 & 2021. Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CMR University - School of Legal Studies to collaborate on a wide range of initiatives, including: - Outreach and community programs - Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) training and activities - Legal awareness programmes, research and academic collaboration - Student engagement and capacity-building initiatives

Organizational Improvements and Innovations

Developed and launched an in-house ERP software for efficient case tracking and real-time updates to clients, enhancing transparency and client communication. Introduced structured internship programs for law students from various colleges and universities across India, fostering practical learning and industry exposure. Implemented a Cost to Company (CTC) salary structure for staff, incorporating social security benefits, retirement benefits, and performance-based bonuses to improve employee welfare and motivation.

Operations Streamlined, Litigation Migrated, and Research Launched

Successfully consolidated operations across all verticals of service offerings under the Trust. Introduced standardized processes to enhance efficiency, optimize resources, and improve the quality of documentation and service delivery Completed migration of all litigation cases from Nag Associates to the Legal Aid Trust, aligning with the Trust’s mission and operational structure. Initiated first field research project in collaboration with CMR University – School of Legal Studies. The research, titled "Charged Lines, Challenged Lives", was conducted in connection with a Writ Petition before the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka (Bangalore Bench) regarding the activation of a high-voltage power line between Peenya and Nelamangala. Obtained TAN (Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number) registration in the name of the Trust, strengthening its financial and compliance infrastructure.

A Decade of Impact: 10 Years of the Trust

Celebrated 10 successful years since the registration of the Trust in September 2013, marking a decade of dedicated service in legal aid, training, and community outreach. Introduced Non-Litigation Services as an independent department within the Trust, formalizing advisory, documentation, and compliance support outside of courtroom proceedings. Launched Mediation Services as part of the Trust’s Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) initiatives, promoting amicable settlement of disputes. The first mediation client was Sventl, a software technology company, marking a significant expansion in service offerings beyond traditional litigation.

Supreme Court Representation: Successfully attended the first case in the Supreme Court of India, representing Arsikere City Municipal Council, and secured a favorable order, marking a significant legal achievement for the Trust. Establishment of Research, Innovation & Excellence Department: Created an independent vertical dedicated to advancing research initiatives, legal innovation, and policy analysis, further institutionalizing the Trust’s thought leadership and academic collaborations. Initiative towards formation of Finance & Accounts Department: Establish a structured Finance & Accounts division with Treasury functions, aimed at ensuring financial discipline, transparency, and long-term sustainability of operations.
